Okay, so I just finished my second bar of
Royale Beauty’s Kojic Papaya soap and I have nothing else to say but praises to
this product. I was given this soap to try by my friend, Abbey Claudio, and I
was delighted to give it a try as I have been hearing good things about it. If
we are friends on my other social media account specifically Instagram, you
would have probably seen my post about it. Though it was months ago since it
was given to me, I had to purchase again so I can really give an honest and
credible review about it.
This is because the first time I used it, I
alternately used another soap for a week, so I was not able to continuously use
it. This time I was able to continuously use it until I finished the soap. So,
without much further ado, here’s my raves and rants about Royale Beauty’s Kojic
Papaya Soap
Directions for use: Use Kojic papaya soap all over the body for bathing, lather well, rinse
thoroughly and moisturize.
Ingredients: Coconut oil, Palm oil, Stearic Acid, Glycerin, Cocodiethanolamide,
Water, Sodium Hydroxide, Sodium Lactate, Kojic Acid, Papaya Extract, Yellow
Iron Oxide, Red Iron Oxide, Perfume
Packaging
I was very impressed by the packaging of
the product. It was the first time I encountered a plastic container for a bar
of soap because I usually encounter cartons or just plain plastics. It also has
a manufacturing and expiration date which makes it even more amazing because
I’d be able to know the shelf life of the product. It was also pleasant to see
that the bar of soap was wrapped in another plastic. I felt that the product
was really carefully packed and it was that fragile.
Scent
The scent of the soap is just SUPER. I love
the scent instantly when I opened the box and could not stop sniffing it. It
smelled like melon, and papaya, something sweet and refreshing. It was not the
usual sweet scent that I don’t really like it just smelled like the tropics. I
also love that it lingers on my skin after bathing with it. I could also really
smell the scent on my skin maybe about 1 and a half hours or 2 hours at most.
Even our bathroom smells good after I shower that convinced my sister-in-law to
purchase soap too. The scent is one of the reasons why I’m going to repurchase
again.
I was able to finish the product for two
weeks. I used it on my face and skin so that the whitening effect while be
As I’ve written in my previous blog post,
Im no longer into whitening my skin but instead to just have a fair and glowing
complexion. I was expecting however that the soap would have a very visible
effect on my skin. What I noticed was the tan lines created by my watch lighten
which meant that the soap was producing whitening results. Another interesting
effect that I find really cool is that it lightened my post pregnancy
stretchmarks. I have dark stretchmarks on the buttocks which appeared lighter
after two weeks of using it. Hooray for me!!! Royale beauty soap just got
another point for me to repurchase. J
Moisturizing
Effect
Yes we have another winner on this. The
soap is moisturizing and does not leave the skin feeling dry or flaky. I have
tried other whitening soaps before and it somehow dries my skin which forces me
to apply lotion. That is somehow difficult for me especially with the weather
that we have in the Philippines. Kojic Papaya soap of Royale Beauty however
does not do that, you’ll feel the softness of the skin on your first use. My
hubby even noticed my skin was softer with the soap which made me convince him
to use it too. His skin tends to try too but he does not want to apply lotion
so this soap’s great for him too!
Peeling
Effect
It says on the package that mild peeling
may occur but it did not happen to me. I usually don’t peel with any peeling
products so I guess that’s why.
Lather
I love foamy soaps and this one’s a keeper.
It lathers really well on the skin and is very foamy. I feel the more foamy a
product is the more it cleanses my skin.
Longevity
Sadly, like any other Kojic Papaya soap, it
melts easily. So the bar of soap I used lasted for only 2 weeks with morning
and night time use. Here’s my tip, you can use the plastic container/box of the
soap as its keeper because it somehow prevents it from melting immediately.
Unlike with paper boxes or soap dishes that we usually use the plastic
container dries the soap preventing it to melt easily. I figure maybe it was
also the reason why they opted to put it in plastic type of box.
Final Verdict:
I love this product and I’d definitely
repurchase. The scent and the moisturizing effect has won me over, the
whitening effect is just the bonus for me.
Tips:
1.
Moisturize after use if you can
stand lotions or body oils to prevent drying of the skin if you experience
peeling.
2.
Use sunblock to help the soap
lighten the skin even more.
3.
Store the soap in a dry place
to prevent it from melting too fast.

gladly hear from you.:)
I'm using this soap. Hands up! Haha. I guess the peeling sis was really not evident. Tip: Once your skin was damp, yung kakatowel mo lang ng konti, try looking at your arms, you'll see. This is really effective for me I may say.
