A Christmas to Remember with the Mommy Bloggers Philippines

Every year I look forward to celebrating Christmas with my mommy blogger friends. This year exceeded my expectation not just because I got to bring home A LOT of goodies but more because I have become friends to more mommy bloggers this year. Since I became a member of the group I have been grateful to have met wonderful moms and have found a group that inspires me to become a better mom, blogger, friend, and whatever I put my mind into. I have found people who appreciates and believes in me and that is more than any token, or freebies I got. Anyway, let me share with you A Christmas Party to Remember with the Mommy Bloggers Ph!

The party happened last December 5 at the Linden Suites. When I found out about the venue, I knew instantly that it was going to be "big time". Linden Suites is located along San Miguel Avenue, Ortigas Center, Mandaluyong City. We had the party at the Sky Lounge, and it was perfect for an intimate gathering. We had the entire room for us and it was appropriate especially for the "Madaldal" and "Matsikka" moms like us!;)

It started with a simple prayer, followed by a welcoming and thanksgiving speech by the founder, Lani Llutz of www.tweenselmom.com. Then Louisa Mercado of www.artofbeingamom.com initiated a Getting to Know Activity where everyone shared a bit about themselves and their blogs. I knew more moms and became more inspired by their stories. It reassured me that I am not alone in the sweetness and bitterness of motherhood and blogging.

After the getting to know activity a game of Vitacubes was played and it showed how great moms are in following instructions. It was a fun and tiring activities for everyone. But ten lucky moms got to win gift certificates from Rebisco Vitacubes.

People from Frabelle also shared their line of products to all moms while everyone was having coffee with Lotus Biscoff cookies. Then raffles and freebies where given to everyone and it was a challenging game of packing all the gifts.

Indeed it was a party to remember as mommies gather, get to know, and bond together feeling extra special because of all the sponsors that made the event even more amazing.

The Mommy Bloggers Philippines “A Christmas to Remember” party was made possible by generous sponsors and a team of mommies who love this blogging community.

Thank you to The Linden Suites who not only provided us with a venue but also made sure we had a wonderful time by collaborating with their in house restaurant Mesclun to provide us with a lovely lunch.

Our venue at The Linden Suites, The Sky Lounge was beautifully decorated by Amari Events while our photos were taken by Casa Litrato.

Our generous sponsors, Fujidenzo, Zojirushi, Jolly, Lotus Biscoff, Frabelle, Robinsons Supermarket, Melawares, Wacoal, Philips, Cinnabon, Rebisco Vita Cubes, Fuentes Manila, Sun Villa Resort, Villa Del Conte Chocolates, Red Ribbon, Hotel Quickly, Shoppers Stop, Chelsy & Casey, National Bookstore and Starbucks for their support, giving us giveaways and prizes.

Baby Company Re-Launch at Power Plant Mall

Last, October 16, Enzo and I excitedly went to Rockwel for the re-launch of Baby Company store in Rockwell Powerplant Mall. It was our first time to visit a Baby Company store in a different mall than SM. Our excitement even doubled as other Mommy bloggers friends and their kids were also there.

Located at the 3rd floor of Powerplant Mall, you can never miss seeing the Baby Company store.

The well-lit store brings out a kind of freshness for Mommy shoppers like me. I enjoy the modern-styled and shopper-friendly concept of the store. The layout gives more space to move and roam around to shop. The merchandise are also carefully plot out that everything is in one place.

In example all clothing needs, eating needs, toys, etc are in one area which gives parents more options to choose from without having to go around the store.

Each merchandise has brand signages that makes shopper fin their favorites in an instant.

The cashier is also situated in the center making it very easy to see and make a purchase. The presence of simple architectural elements suh as colored cubes and tables were used to add fun and highlight to the featured items. They have signages like New Items, Featured Items, and even a Blogger Favorites. The center display near the cashier also hihhlights on the pick of the week or month which is perfect for finding new discoveries for parents.

The Baby Company store tour was pleasant and very informative. Enzo actually had fun playing with the toy cars while I roam around the store. Thank you to all Baby Company staff who looked after him for me. ;)

Here are more of Enzo's photos during the eent:

Next post will be more about new learning I got from the event. I'll be sharing about Diapering next. Please do read back!;)

A Pasta Festa Celebration for the #AlDentePastaMonth

Pasta has become a Filipinos favorite. Any feast would not be complete without this dish and families have had a lot of good memories together with pasta. If you are a pasta lover like me, you'll know that this month of October is the World's Pasta Month.

In the country, Dona Elena AlDente Pasta has been celerating this occassion with Filipino pasta lovers, enthusiasts, home cooks and aspiring chefs alike with hefty appetite for pasta. The festivity was held in SM Mall of Asia last October 9 and was truly a feel of Italian Pasta!

The event features an Italian food fair, reminiscent of walking thru the food streets of Italy. We were given a Pasta Festa passport where we were asked to get it stamped by each booth to get a freebie. It was an exciting idea as we, with my companion Mommy arge, were able to go around the event and enjoy the yummy treats and games from all the booth.

Here are some of the booths we went to:

The official program started at around 3pm with a Pasta Art Workshop which demonstrated making art out of pasta shells. I did not know there was such a thing and it really was something exciting I could try or include in some of our parties at home. The fun was continued through different games with the audience like the Pasta eating contest, and other Pasta parlor games. Everyone came home full and happy with prizes and freebies. Of course, the festivity will not be complete without a learning-filled cooking demonstration from Chef Ben abernardo of Cafe aroyal and Pasta along with Chef Roberto Bellini. They highlighted that a great pasta dish starts with using a good pasta.

The fun day of merriment made possible by Dona Elena Al Dente Pasta was a success. It was made even more successful with all the media partners including Mommy Bloggers Philippines (www.mommybloggersphilippines.com).

Thank you, FlyAce Corporation and Dona Elena AlDente Pasta for the wonderful day! Thank you also to Mommy Bloggers Philippines for the opportunity!

A PASTA FESTA FOR THE PEOPLE: In Celebration of World Pasta Month this October 2015

It is the last week of September, and the events are just piling up and I am getting so excited. Last year, I went to Al Dente Pastacelebration and learned a lot about pasta. Ever since that event, I have always used Dona Elena pasta for our favorite dishes and I get Al dente pasta noodles every time. Here is the link of what happened and what I learned about Pasta last year: http://www.thereyoujho.com/2014/10/celebrate-national-pasta-month-with.html.

Now, an exciting activities are lined up again for us, Mommies and pasta lovers made possible by Dona Elena Al Sente Pasta. Before I tell you these activities, here are some information about Dona Elena Al Dente Pasta:

Doña Elena Al Dente Pasta is produced according to the tradition of true Italian pasta. There is actually an Italian law that prescribes that pasta must be made using 100% durum wheat semolina, which is the hardest of all the wheat varieties and has the highest protein content. It is the use of durum wheat that makes pasta “al dente” or “firm to the bite.” Doña Elena Al Dente Pasta is also made using traditional bronze dies, which gives the noodles ridges, which helps the sauce cling to the noodles more, for a richer flavor. Plus, Doña Elena uses all natural GMO-free ingredients in its pasta, which makes it really good for you!

Over the years, pasta has become such a favorite dish for Filipinos. In fact, almost every gathering or special occasion isn’t complete without a big platter of spaghetti Bolognese or baked macaroni. Or maybe even an original recipe using shrimp, Spanish sardines or even spicy tuyo. Doña Elena Al Dente Pasta brings the Filipino’s passion for this versatile noodle to the forefront with the celebration of World Pasta Month, this October. The celebration started in Rome in 1995 with the First World Pasta Congress, and countries all over the world have come up with their own festivities since. After all, pasta is a global food consumed in all five continents and is a perfect fit for a dynamic and healthy lifestyle. The campaign and series of events will highlight every foodie’s love for pasta and how it has become such an integral part of Pinoy culture.

Here's a link of how you can join the Pasta Recipe Contest:

The campaign kicks off with the Doña Elena Al Dente Online Pasta Recipe Contest, which is open to all home cooks and pasta enthusiasts. The mechanics are simple – upload a photo of your pasta dish with your original or favorite recipe made using Doña Elena Al Dente Pasta to Instagram and tag @DonaElenaCuisineraClub with the hashtag #AlDentePastaMonth. Don’t have Instagram? You can also upload your entries to www.AlDentePastaMonth.com. Each entry will be reviewed for a chance to be part of the finals where the top five will have to cook their dish in front of a live audience at the upcoming Doña Elena Al Dente Pasta Festa. Deadline for submission of entries is on September 30, 2015. For more contest details, you can log on to www.aldentepastamonth.com. No need to wait! It’s time to say…Al Dente!

The main highlight of the Pasta-rrific festivities is the Doña Elena Al Dente Pasta Festa – World Pasta Month Celebration to be held on October 9 at the Main Mall Atrium, SM Mall of Asia. It is not to be missed by foodies, home cooks and aspiring chefs alike – and it’s best to come with a healthy appetite. The event will feature an Italian Food Fair, reminiscent of walking thru the food streets of Italy. Looking for a new recipe to try? Chef Ben Bernardo of Café Royal & Pasha, along with Chef Roberto Bellini (of the famed Bellini’s Restaurant in Cubao) will be sharing their favorite recipes in a fun cooking demonstration. Another highlight will be the grand finals for the Doña Elena Al Dente Online Pasta Recipe Contest, to see who will emerge with the best pasta recipe of the season, for a chance to win cash and kitchen appliances. If you’re feeling a little hungry, the Pasta Eating Contest could be right up your alley, where you can chow down on delicious Doña Elena Al Dente Pasta dishes and win a prize. It will definitely be a fun day of eating, cooking and celebrating, so mark the date on your calendars. The event will be hosted by Aksyon sa Umaga Anchor Grace Lee.

The Doña Elena Pasta Fiesta - World Pasta Month Celebration is in cooperation with media partners Food Magazine, Working Mom Magazine, WhenInManila.com, theAsianparent.com, Business Mirror, Malaya Business Insight, Business World, HerWord and Mommy Bloggers Philippines; and partners Masflex, Whirlpool, Tecnogas, Corelle, Ginhawa Spa and Dining, Caffe Bene and Gloria Jeans Coffee.

Doña Elena Al Dente Pasta is the only authentic Italian Artisan Quality pasta brand in the Philippines. It is crafted with bronze dies which leave a rough surface on the pasta, helping sauces cling better to the pasta, thus making it more delicious. Doña Elena Al Dente Pasta is available in 5 variants – Fettuccine, Penne Rigate, Fusilli, Spaghetti and Lasagna.
