If you love makeup, I am 100% sure you have a long-lasting, and smudge proof lipstick in your kikay kit. I am also sure once or twice you found it difficult to remove your long lasting lipsticks and after removing it you feel your lips dry and all beaten up. Haha! Kasi ako ganun, I use to brush it with soft cloth or with my toothbrush. Until I discovered MeNow Oil-in-Gel Lipstick remover from the makers of Kissproof long lasting lipsticks.
I am a fan of Kissproof lipstick, click here to see my previous review and swatches.

Monomola Wow Long Lasting Lip Tattoo
Okay, so to be honest, I'm not really a lipstick person. It was only last year that I finally decided to try out more shades of lipsticks. I remember one of my student's telling me before to put on lipsticks too 'coz I really look pale. And so my journey started.. I realized how lipsticks make any look totally different just by the shade. It also has a big effect on how the makeup will be put together. So, expect to have more lipsticks review so I could finally find my holy grail on lipsticks.
Okay, so enough about my history, on the chopping board today for my lipstick review is:
This is not mine but my sister-in-law which she bought from Lazada. It is originally Php599 but is on sale for only Php175.00.
Product Description:

My thoughts on the Monomola wow Magic Long Lasting Lip Tattoo:

My thoughts on the Monomola wow Magic Long Lasting Lip Tattoo:
I'm just so happy that I did not buy it. Buti nalang I have a kind hearted sister-in-law who let me test it first, because it really is very disappointing. I got excited to try it because I saw reviews of how you will peel it off and you'll have a long lasting smudge proof lipstick. It works like a lip tint so it really stays put on your lips thus making it look naturally your color.A photo posted by Jho Tacorda (@thereyoujho) on
What I did not like about it was that it was too messy, time consuming, and stains. It was messy because the consistency was too heavy and "malagkit". Upon putting it on, you would need about 20-25 minutes to wait so the lip color would stick to your lips. The problem with the waiting time is that nakakainip, plus nakakangalay. The color then ended up in my mouth and staining my teeth. Yucccckkkyyyy! Plus when I first applied it on my lip, medyo mahapdi siya. But not to the extent that I had to remove it immediately, I could bear with it. Then when I peeled off the lip tattoo, hindi pantay pantay yung kulay. There were some parts na dark yung shade and others na wala. It was true though that it was long lasting and difficult to remove because I had to use lipstick remover to fully erase it. It wasn't really the shade I was after and more so the experience. I do not have the time to always wait that long to put on lipstick and I really did not like how messy it was to put on.

#AMPRDigitalAppreciationNight at Cuore Bistro and Social Lounge
Last June 23, 2016, Thursday I got the chance to join AMPR's Digital Appreciation Night for food and Mommy bloggers in Cuore Bistro and Social Lounge. AMPR hosted the event for about 30 bloggers to introduce the PR company's services, brands, and clients. The night was a simple celebration for bloggers and AMPR team while enjoying Cuore's artisanal food.
The program started with an overview of AMPR's company and brand. They highlighted on their successes and milestones in different products and brand they have worked with. Some of the popular brands that they work for are Goodah!, Gardenia Bakeries Phil. Inc., Uratex, Acer, Happee among many other. The highlight, however, of the night was the gastronomic adventure offered by Cuore Bistro and Social Lounge.
Cuore pronounced as Kwo-re is italian for heart. Heart being the center of every dish at Cuore. They take pride in providing a complete dining experience. Armed with remarkable service, passionate service, and a home-y feel to their restaurant. The ambiance welcomes and encourages conversations, food conversations, social gatherings and social events. I would consider it for some intimate gatherings like birthday celebration, proposal, and just hanging out with friends. What is also the bistro's signature are their #hugot or love infused menus, which is perfect for everyone whether mending a broken heart or celebrating love.
Now to the highlight of the night, the gastronomic adventure provided by Cuore. They serve international cuisines and put in their own personal touches to give it a twist and memorable-factor. All dishes are also beautifully plated and curated with refreshing flavors, that will definitely make one feel oh-so good.

Beauty Review:MeNow Kiss proof Soft Lipsticks
Hello! So for my first post as soon as I announced the blog site's changes is a make up review. Been really shy about posting beauty reviews because I always feel awkward when I do selfies and product shoots but what the heck, I just want to share some of my cheap finds with you all. Hopefully, it can help you find the right product for you!:) hihi! Wishfully thinking, of course. So anyway, there has been a raved in our office about the MeNow Kissproof Soft Lipsticks.
I first got my two MeNow Kissproof Soft Lipsticks last December 2015 after seeing It's me Mamanee tried its long lasting and smudge proof effect. I was really in search of a lipstick that will stay a lot longer on my lips cause I have a tendency to smudge or "eat" it leaving me with my pale looking lips. You don't know how many times people thought I was dizzy because of my pale skin. Anyway, the first two lippies I got was #15 and #16.
MeNow Kiss Proof Soft Lipsticks is made in China and it promises a long lasting, smudge and kissproof matte soft lipsticks. It also states in its box that it hydrates the lips.
Here are my swatches:
Then I got two more MeNow Kiss Proof which are numbers 6, 1 and 13. I am not so much into reds so I gave up number 16 and stuck to my favorite number 15. I always wear number 15 when I teach and its really a great help cause I don't need to retouch over and over in between classes. It keeps me from looking pale but gives off just a nude fresh look.
My current favorite is number 6 because it fits my lips natural color. I am not as confident to wear red lipsticks so number 6 is just the right color. Not so much nude, but not so red too. (gets nyo ba yun?) haha!:)
For some of the red lines of MeNow Kissproof, I tried number 1 and 13.
My thoughts on number 1 and 13: Number 1 is like the color of aratiles. If you're a Filipino I think you'll know what that is. It's a shiny red lips with like glittery color to it. Its redness is also not as loud and it comes close to a maroon shade of red. Number 13, on the other hand, is perfect for night outs and events. You would really stand out while wearing it while downplaying your eye make up. I like that its matte and it really hightlights the shape of my lips. I am just not a red lipstick wearer but I think I can pull this off for a special occassion.

General thoughts on MeNow Kiss Proof Soft Lipsticks:
- A must try and must have for every girl
- Any age can find the perfect shade for them
- Long lasting
- Smudge Proof
- Dries quickly
- Kiss Proof!
- Affordable
Tips on using MeNow Kiss Proof Soft Lipstick:
- Put it on horizontally on your lips so you can cover your entire lips evenly.
- Matte lipsticks have a tendency to dry your lips so make sure to prep it up with balm or use balm after using MeNow Kissproof
- MeNow Kissproof isn't retractbale as it may seem so it needs a sharpener.
- Do not put on too many layers of the lipstick because it has a tendency to cake or solidify.
- Let the lippies dry first before testing its smudge and kiss proof feature.
#ChangehasCome to ThereyouJho
Just a random thought I had while contemplating on my blog. It seems I haven't written anything with content since I was always posting PR stuff. (Yes, yes, I became that kind of blogger, not that anything's wrong with that, but it just wasn't me) So after months of reflection, and the motivation to do it, I decided to transfer my mommy blog into another site. It's been publishing posts for about a month now, and although its slow and steady I think I have a better direction and goals now. Check more of my motherhood stories here: Playful Life with Kids
So what happens to THEREYOUJHO? For a few weeks I have been thinking whether to get rid of this or just let it die its natural death. Though it did not feel right just looking at it without real content and so I decided to think this site through. So here goes another risk I'll be starting with ThereyouJHO. I have decided to stick to my core. I would still be writing about my motherhood journey on Playful life with Kids and keep this site as my lifestyle blog which will include what I like to do in my spare time that does not include being a mom or a wife. haha! If that is even possible! Anyway, I've decided to just post my food trips, travels, hobbies like music, movies, and books. I also decided to have the guts and confidence to review makeups and maybe share some beauty tips too. It sort of is a way to keep the child in me present, so I won't forget who I am before I became a mom and wife. Not that I am separating myself as a mom but it gives me an individuality and my identity. I think having those will make me a better mom and wife. Hopefully, you'll still join me in my journey and share your journey with me too. Let's all be in the know and in trend with how it is to live as a woman in the metro. Enjoy and talk to you soon!:)

Book Review: Querna Dose
Have you ever read a book and felt amazed, bothered, surprised at the same time? Or that moment when you had to just pause after reading that one or two paragraph out of the book because you just had to absorb the beauty of it? Or have you ever read a book that revealed so much about yourself and the world, especially about love and all its form? That is what Querna Dose is all about.
A photo posted by Jho Tacorda (@thereyoujho) on
Querna Dose is a novel written by Celine Rose Cristobal
Gano, a Financial journalist and a graduate of Management of Financial
Institutions at De La Salle University – Manila. By the way, she was my
classmate way back in grade school. (Yes! Stage friend! Proud of you, Celine)
Querna Dose is about a story of a certain priest named
Father Art inside a prison for a crime he did in Sta. Monica, Romblon. The
story revolved around the struggles of different people Father Art came across
inside the prison. One of which was Paeng, a young man who finds himself in the
chaotic world of drugs inside the prison. Their worlds collide but the story
unfolds as to how one would try to save a person not wanting to be saved.
Querna Dose challenges us to think about who we are in the
world and how we are with the people who are different from us. It makes us
understand ourselves and the actions that we do without being righteous against
people who do things that are against our principles. It teaches us to love
without asking, and love even when it is impossible to do so. Love in all its
form is useless without knowing its true source and purpose. It is only when we
can love another person until it hurts can we really say we have loved. And
only then can we know how strong and capable we are of this unconditional
love. Finding this love means
struggling, failing, and most of the time doubting. We start doubting everyone
most especially ourselves and some of the times, the Supreme Being. The hardest
times of our lives are the true test of our capacity to love and we should
embrace that experience. Just like the characters in the novel, learning to
love and be loved was the real story behind the cruel world of prison, and
people just have to see it harder.
So if you think you know what love really is, at kung Bakit
nga ba nakaunat and mga braso pag yayakap tayo? Then I dare you to read this
novel, cause there is MORE to Love than what we know.
Here's also a Q&A with the author Celine Gano:
Here's also a Q&A with the author Celine Gano:
Bakit Querna Dose?
Querna Dose kasi mundo yun nung main characters na sina
Paeng and Father Art. Sa rami ng nangyayare sa paligid, I thought it’d br
interesting na magfocus lang sa particular world dun, which is yung querna 12b
nga (dormitory na walang gang, as explained sa book)
Bakit sa bilibid?
Parang interesting for me
na pagsamasamahin yung mga characters sa ganun kagulong mundo. Parang
umikot kasi sa mga broken people yung kwento
kaya san pa mas appropriate silang dalhin kundi sa lugar na puro broken
– ang Bilibid.
Anong inspirasyon mo sa book?
Ang inspirasyon ko dun ay isang personal experience ko with
a certain someone in my life of having a hard time accpetiong others for who
they are, nagging struggle tuloy sa akin to love them dahil di ko mahawa yung
first step man lang, which is ang tanggapin sila. The book was a product of the
wisdom na natutunan ko from that certain experience. The lesson from that
experience kasi liberated me, hence is the book.
Bakit nila babasahin ang Querna Dose?
Kung gusto nila ng
tipo ng kwento o ng libro na parang nakikipag-usap lang sa isang kaibigan about
what’s important in life, basahin nila ang querna dose
Message to readers
Sana pagktapos nila basahin yung libro, mas matuto silang
magmahal at mapalapit sila sa source of love.
