Fisher Price Chunky Wood Puzzle Review

Just last week, I got to buy one of my wishlist toy for Enzo at HMR Adriatico Branch. Yes, I am a frequent visitor there. I have been looking for wood puzzles for Enzo because I wanted to enhance his Fine Motor Skills. Fine Motor Skills is the coordination of the small muscles movement with the eyes. This includes picking up small toys, inserting objects in small holes, and even grasping on things.

Luckily, I found a Fisher Price Chunky Wood Puzzle for only Php199.  

Here is a photo with Enzo before we opened the toy. He grasped "Wow" as soon as he saw it. Paconsuelo na for me!;) 

The Chunky Wood Puzzle has 1 board, and 6 chunky pieces. Its size is 11.69 in x 8.46 in and 29.7 cm x 21.5 cm. The wood is also made of light material so it is not so heavy and will not hurt as much when kids throw or drop it. Approximately costs: $9.99 online or Php450-Php500.

It promotes Fine Motor Skills, Eye and Hand Coordination, and Imagination. The pieces are big and easy to grasp and the slots are also perfect for fitting the puzzles.

Topics such as shapes, Farm Life, farm animals, taking care of animals are just some of starting discussions from the puzzle. I am amazed at how fast and easy it was for Enzo to play with. He immediately recognizes the animals with its colorful representation, and he now identifies shapes even better. 

My verdict on the Fisher Price Chunky Wood Puzzle: It is one of the must have toys for our children to encourage fine motor skills which will eventually help them develop other skills necessary for them. It is great for quiet times and builds on their concentration and focus. I love this toy and Enzo does too!
