More Fun Days with Vitacubes: A Jelly Candy Made Healthy
Rebisco launched their new jelly candy, Vita Cubes, last August 2, 2015 at Fun Ranch, Pasig. It was a day filled with laughter, fun, dancing, and lots of yummy healthy candy. We were fortunate to get invited with other Mommy Bloggers so it was both fun for the kids and the mommies too!:)
Got the chance to take photos in the stage just before the event started. Perks of coming to the event early hihi!:) Enzo also had more time to play at the Playdium because we were there earlier and it meant more fun for the little boy. Thanks Daddy for accompanying Enzo at the Playdium.
The event started with some dance contest for the kids which really pumped up everyone's energy even the mommies. All the children danced their hearts out and were having fun with each other. Then games were also played with other moms, followed by a magic show. The show was really entertaining and amazing to watch but what made everyone shriek was the snake that came out of the box held by Mommy Shari! It was a surprise for everyone in the venue.
Look at how much the audience enjoyed, who do you think enjoyed more? the kids? or the parents? Haha!
Lysine - Contains 70% of the child’s RENI. Aids the body in proper growth and energy production. Also helps in calcium absorption.
Zinc - Contains 70% of tha child’s Recommended Energy and Nutritional Intake (RENI). Zinc is known to help in proper functioning of the immune and digestive systems, energy metabolism, and in increasing the rate of healing for wounds.
Vitamin A - Contains 40% of the child’s RENI. Helps in increasing the body’s immunity to fight infections. Also plays an important role in ensuring healthy eyes and bone development.
Vitamin B - Supplies 30-70% of the child’s RENI. Promotes growth and strength and stimulates memory in children in their formative years. Helps boost the oxygen circulation in the body, especially the brain, which in
turn improved concentration. Helps convert carbohydrates and fats into energy.
Vitamin C - Supplies 30% of the child’s RENI.Helps form and repair red bloods cells, bones, and tissues. Helps your child’s gums stay healthy. Strengthens your child’s blood vessels, minimizing bruising from falls and scrapes.
Helps cuts and wounds heal, boosts the immune system, and keeps infections at bay.
Helps the body absorb iron from food sources.
Vitamin E - Supplies 45% of the child’s RENI. Boosts the immune system and helps the body fight germs. Keeps blood vessels open wide enough for blood to flow freely. Helps the cells of the body work together to perform many important functions.
Now there is an alternative for us parents to candies with just pure sugar in it. With VitaCubes we can give them a once in a while treat with no guilt because it has vitamins and minerals in it. But just as any candy/candies are, parents should still be cautious in giving too much to our children. As with little Enzo, he enjoys his treats every once in a while and I am assured that atleast he gets different vitamins and minerals from it. I even have my own pack in bag as baon to school and work.
Vita Cubes is available at all
Mercury Drug outlets, SM Supermarkets, Robinson’s Supermarkets,
Waltermart, Landmark, Puregold,Mini Stop and local grocery stores. You can get them in packs of ten or in single pack that is sold in sarisari stores!
Thank you, Mommy Bloggers Philippines, and Rebisco for a wonderful day and a healthy yummy treat!
Love, Enzo

Lessen Stress at School with the new “amino Fres-C”
School is a wonderful place to explore and learn
new things but parents are well-aware that this place can also be a major
source of stress for kids. A school day begins and ends with passing through
bumpy roads and enduring slow-moving traffic. Kindergarteners are not excused
from pushing trolleys that carry heavy loads. Students have to juggle various
seat works, assignments, recitations and quizzes for 8-9 subjects. In a
nutshell, going to school is eternally beneficial but it is hard work!
Parents can instill the value of diligence and
patience to lessen the hurdles kids
face at school. Feed them with knowledge that can widen their understanding and
sharpen their minds. Be involved in their school life. Assist in checking if
assignments and projects are done correctly and completely and be on guard for
any emotional or physical traumas they might be experiencing within and outside
school premises. Extracurricular activities can also help build self-esteem and
develop healthy social life for most school children as they learn to interact
with other people.
Being sick or sickly is a big burden to students as
they need the strength and energy to keep up with the daily demands of school. Exercise
and good diet are essential in maintaining physical well-being. Parents must take
time to engage their kids in fun physical activities and prepare delicious and
healthy meals.
Responsible parents naturally go for safe and
quality ingredients, but to make meals more enjoyable and nourishing for school
children, they need to introduce variety of food ingredients and expand cooking
methods from only frying to also sautéing, steaming, blanching and boiling. If
frying is unavoidable, it is recommended to observe proper frying temperature
(365-375'F) to decrease oil absorption. Test by dropping a small piece of food
into the oil; the temperature is right if the piece of food rises above the oil
within 3-5 seconds.
The new “amino Fres-C” Instant Juice Drink
Mix is a great addition to kids’ baon. This is the only powdered juice drink that
is packed with Branched Chain Amino Acids (BCAA) with Glutamine and Arginine.
These specific amino acids are building blocks of protein that maintain energy
levels, support muscle growth and repair, and toughen immune system – making
this drink perfect for sustaining kids’ demanding schedule at school. “amino
Fres-C” is 70% less calories compared to other juice brands, so they get to
enjoy the real fruit taste of its orange, pineapple and mango variants, without
the unnecessary calories. The new “amino Fres-C” is available in local
supermarkets for only PhP 8.00 per 1 liter pack.

Expressive Art Meditation: A Safe Place for your True Self
Everyday time passes really fast. Everyone seems to be always on a rush.
The experience was a first for me. I have not tried meditation or even canvass painting before and I did not expect the two to be a great combination. I definitely would do it again and again for I know it will be a unique experience everytime.
Everywhere I look, I notice long lines of people queing for the train, students stressing out over studies, and my papers piling up waiting for me to check them. And as if being a full time mom and a part time teacher is not enough to stress and worry me out, I have included yet another challenge in my life which is pursuing my masteral degree in Family Life and Child Development. With all these roles, I am still finding time to blog for pleasure and for work. Attend events, take photos for product reviews, read, write and plan. I did not stop there, I still fulfill my roles as a sister, an aunt, a cousin, a friend, and just about anything anyone wants me to be.
Can you imagine how my life is with all these? I have my hands full and I can't get enough of it. That is the reason why attending the Expressive Arts Meditation Workshop by Artist Madhouse was just what I needed.
The Expressive Art Meditation workshop is an activity my highschool friend Carol Tongco and her college classmate Jem Banzon, created for individuals to be able to pause for a while and have a talk wih one's true Self. I have been blogging and promoting the workshop but my schedule would always conflict with their schedule.
Such a blessing in disguise, when classes were suspended so I had the opportunity to join their session last July 7 at WhiteSpace Studio, Katipunan, QC. Going to the event, I was just excited to know what it was about. I love arts and crafts but I am a little short on the artistic side so I was expecting that I would learn how to paint, mix colors, and make a masterpiece worth displaying. I WAS NOT PREPARED FOR WHAT WAS IN STORE for me that day.
I won't spoil the fun for you because I am hopping you'll be curious and excited to try it on your own, but here are some photos of what happened during that day:
The experience has left such a big realization in my life. It brought back wonderful traits I have in myself that I consciously or subconsiously hid away from others and even to myself because of worries, fears, and problems. I had a long overdue heart to heart talk with myself and with my creator. It felt like I have been overhauled in an Auto Repair Center, or a laptop or pc that has been restored, or an old book that was opened to the world again.
I felt safe. I knew before I went there that I would be vulnerable, but I did not imagine I could be vulnerable to a bunch of strangers whom felt no strangers at all during the workshop. I felt loved an accepted and that thwy would never judge me. I was able to rediscover who I truly am and I felt genuinely appreciated for my true self.
It sounds dramatic, yes, but I'd say it is a miracle happening right before my eyes, a miracle was happening to me. It was revealed to me that I am a part of a plan, that I am designed with a purpose, that I am more blessed than inadequate.
It was also through the workshop, that I have silenced my inner critic. I learned to listen to my critic but never let it or fear intervene with what I am purposefully created for. I have never felt ashamed of being affected so much by my inner critic that I could not share who I truly am.
In general, it gets difficult to have a time to quiet down and converse with our true self. The world we live in is so complicated that we get caught up with our pursuit to having and not being. We insist on having the latest gadgets, watch the latest movie, eat the finest meals that our true goals and dreams are pushed sown to the innermost part of our heart. This then makes us forget, forget who we really are and what really matters. With Artist Madhouse's Expressive Art workshop, we are given that haven and outlet to just be, and concentrate on being. Being in the moment, being with our self, and being in miracle.
Thank you Artist Madhouse, you have unleashed the little child in me again, and I could not be any happier!;)

Jollibee Kids Meal: Road Rollers
As I am exploring Enzo's homeschooling journey, I decided to start where his interest is and that is in Things that Go. He loves cars, trucks, and everything that has wheels. Coincidentally, Enzo's dad, the hubby bought a Jollibee Kids Meal last night and it was a Fire Truck.
He instantly loves it because we always see or hear fire trucks here at home. Because it is a fire truck, it has a container to put water into and sprays water too. It is perfect for bath time playtime too!;)
Then I decided to eat at Jollibee today so we can complete the collection. The other remaining road rollers are an ambulance and a school bus.
Here is an unboxing of the school bus:
The school bus is a wind up toy that moves on its own. As a school bus it has students as passengers that has two slots in the bus. The children can play pretend, removing and inserting the cards.
The ambulance on the other hand has a red light that circles as it moves.
The Jollibee Kids Meal Road Rollers
The toys are perfect for our homeschooling lessons and I find it entertaining for Enzo. I can teach him a lot using the toys like colors, road safety, and occupations. These toys are worth buying, so I suggest you grab your kids a Jollibee Kids Meal Road Rollers now!;)

Kickass: Discovering New Trends in Fitness
I am a sporty person, I enjoy sweating and trying new fitness workouts or programs. I have tried a lot of workouts like Pilates, Circuit Training, Yoga, and Running. Although I have tried a lot I have not found the perfect match for myself, or if I have I could not maintain and sustain my enthusiasm and motivation to it. Luckily, when my mommy blogger friend Que Gavan, invited me to join the launch of Kickass I eagerly agreed to come, and I was glad I did!
The launch happened in Slice BGC and it lasted only for about 2-3 hours, but I learned a lot from the talks of Ms. Ruby Gan and Ms. Mitch Felipe. Ms. Gan and Ms. Felipe are both sports and fitness enthusiast and they have a vision on the future of sports and fitness in the country. The idea was then shared to Quennie Gavan, of Takbo.ph, and KickAss event was born. A partnership was soon created, with the two combining their wits to design an expo that is unique and suited to the local community. Beyond offering a well-curated mix of products, Ruby and Quennie will be bringing in the pros to share their knowledge, skills and passion through classes, trials and challenges—and for free!
So make sure to attend all if not some of the talks and fitness activities all weekends of August at Commercenter Alabang. See you!:)

They also included programs and workouts for children, sports enthusiasts, and just about anyone. I look forward to listening to Pre and Post Nutrition Talk, PiYo (Pilates and Yoga), and the Bootcamp.
